I reached Oradea at 11pm, the place where I will be staying for 6 weeks.
I’m grateful to have so many local AIESEC committees to come & pick me up at the station, there were 6 of them.
They made me eat their ‘custom-made bread with salt’ which is said to be a ‘tradition’ to welcome guest who arrives in Oradea.
But I found out later that the other trainees were not ‘welcomed’ in this way.
This makes me wonder if they were just making fun of me. Also, one of them handed me a piece of paper full with Romanian words.
He picked a long sentence and asked me to read it aloud. All of them were laughing as I was reading. But according to them, I did quite well with the pronunciation :)My next challenge upon my arrival in Oradea was to climb the fence & get into my dorm. Anyway, they are all helpful and friendly people, we got to know each other, they helped me with my luggage and sent me back to the dorm. Here I am, Oradea.
